ANNA K is a Ukrainian brand, founded by young designer Anna Karenina. Anna's shows can be seen at the Blockchain Kiev Fashion Days (formerly Mercedes Benz Kiev Fashion Days). Anna was a winner of the Design It competition, founded by Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days together with Vogue Italia and Vogue Ukraine. And her shows were covered by Vogue Italia, Vogue.co.uk, Vogue Ukraine and L'Officiel Italia.
The collection "Fashion Circus", for which Anna drew inspiration from the eponymous article by the legendary Susie Menkes, was an expression of love for Ukrainian and European women of fashion. The series of T-shirts and sweatshirts emblazoned with slogans, which can often be heard at international fashion weeks, attracted the attention of the press, bloggers, and was also ordered for sale in high-fashion retailers Luisa Via Roma and Colette. Today, the fashion industry's main fashion insiders include Brian Boy, Susie Babble, Ivan Rodic, Nabil Könum and others. The irony and the amount of infantilism in her designs, make the brand ANNA K recognizable and successful.
With her label ANNA K, Karenina is regarded as one of the most promising talents on the international fashion scene and was honoured as one of the youngest members on the Forbes "30 Under 30" list in 2017. The 21-year-old who first entered the fashion industry as a model is not only wowing professional audiences but also more and more people around the world with her fresh, life-affirming creations. ANNA K focuses her designs on the most relevant issue of her generation: the future. And the future for ANNA K looks limitless and, like her designs, promises to be multifaceted, colourful and otherworldly. Unconventional cuts, bold colour combinations and adventurous material combine to bear witness to a new form of fashionable self-awareness one that requires no compromises in order to be successful. Despite her young age, Anna K has her feet firmly on the ground – she knows what she wants and has strikingly precise ideas about the world of tomorrow. Meanwhile, the designer’s creations are imbued with the same magical sense of futuristic whimsy that so defines the world of children.
